Here is a quick update on the Brooklyn, Ohio solar project. I was at the site last week to watch the installation of the last panels. Below you will find a couple of pictures with County Executive Armond Budish, Brooklyn Mayor Katie Gallaher, County Director of Sustainability Mike Foley and County Council President Sunny M. Simon.
As noted in past posts, this is the largest landfill solar project in Ohio. We were honored to serve as counsel to the developer (Enerlogics Solar). The builder is Conti Solar out of New Jersey, the owner is IGS Solar out of Columbus and the off-taker is Cuyahoga County.
The project is set to energize at the end of this month with commercial operation next month. Feel free to contact me if you have questions about this project or solar generally.
Here's a link to an article about the project by The Plain Dealer's John Funk.
